May 20-21 Session Prep

Focus Area: Moral/Life Skills

Session Objective: Life and Survival Skills, and Camping Experience

Will include: changing a tire, activity resume, money management, CPR, swim safety, tent set-up, kayaking and a few extras

When: May 20-21, 2023

(Saturday, arrive at 11:45 AM and Sunday, pickup at 10 AM)

*Note: Session includes an overnight camping experience

Shelton Hall ( location on Raintree Road and enter to Charlotte Latin School )

Overnight camping experience activity

Waiver Form (Attached to email. Please print and fill out and send with your son)

Attire For Session: TROPF Navy Polo, Khaki Pants, Sneakers

Required Materials/Supplies to Bring:

1. Draft of Speech for Culminating Ceremony

2. Bank Statement (you be close to $500)

3. Mentor Log (check names for thank you cards sent)

4. HuROP T-shirt

5. HuROP hoodie (for cool night)

• Athletic Shorts

• Swimming Trunks

• Towel

• Change of Clothes

• Comfortable shoes that you don't mind getting wet

• Sleeping Bag

• Flashlight

• Washcloths / baby wipes , tooth brush, deodorant

• Tent (Only if you already have one. We do have some extras tents available)

• 1 Large Trash Bag (for wet things)

6. Rain Poncho, windbreaker

Please come prepared to answer the following question: "How has the TROPF helped shape your future...." Our Marketing & Communications Intern, Tiesyn Harris (HuROP Alum 20117) will be working on a social media campaign to feature each of your sons leading up to their culminating ceremony. He will be reaching out to your family to capture some information.

Father Chaperones:

Please come prepared to help out during the session and camping trip, including capturing and sharing pictures/videos from the session and camping trip. We appreciate you joining us!
