Cultural/Global: Know Your Narrative
Objective: The purpose of this session is to begin to explore each young man’s ancestral heritage as a part of defining their cultural identity. The information gathered will be used to develop their culminating ceremony speech.
Day #1
Date/Time: February 18, 2023 (Arrive by 11:30am; Session ends at 3pm)
Session Location: ImaginOn: The Joe and Joan Martin Center

Attire: TROPF Blue Polo Shirt, Khaki Pants, Comfortable Shoes, TROPF Backpack (all TROPF session information) Bank Statement and Mentor Log
Assignment: Ancestry DNA kits were given out in January and a profile should be established on Ancestry.com, as well as kits activated. Each young man is to complete the DNA test, leverage the online resources at Ancestry.com, and conversations with family to identify their father’s lineage for four generations (e.g., mom and dad, father parents, father grandparents, father great grandparents).
